Cooked first, dried second, finished by you

Every JivaFresh meal is a real dish that we cook, then dry gently. Scroll through what happens between our pot and your bowl.

Dry whole urad after the water has gone

From the pot to the pack, and back to the bowl

  1. Whole spices in small heaps

    Step 1: Select

It starts with what is on the label: dals, rice, vegetables and whole spices. Nothing else goes in.

Water in the food: Raw ingredients

  2. A bowl of cooked dal makhani

    Step 2: Cook

Each dish is washed, cut and cooked fully first, the slow way, like a Sunday at home. Dal makhani still gets its hours.

Water in the food: Fully cooked, full of water

  3. Dry whole urad after the water has gone

    Step 3: Gentle drying

Then the cooked food is dried at low heat until almost no water is left. The water goes; the taste and nutrition stay.

Water in the food: Almost no water left

  4. A sealed JivaFresh pack of dal makhani

    Step 4: Seal

Each meal is sealed in its own pack, light and flat. Taking the water out is the preservative, so we add none.

Water in the food: Sealed dry

  5. Dal makhani, ready to eat

    Step 5: Rehydrate

In your kitchen: water, a stir, seven minutes in the microwave. The water goes back and so does the dish.

Water in the food: Water back in
